The Faces behind Nights of Fear
My husband and I have always been very “BIG” fans of the entire Halloween season. He was born in it, our daughter was born in it and we were married in it.
We are a Christian family with Christian beliefs. Last year we put the whole haunted house idea in God’s hands. Every step of this adventure has been a lesson or a blessing and without God in our lives it would not be possible.
We have a couple of years of experience with running a successful
fundraiser-haunted house and we have enjoyed every part of it
immensely. It was fun and exciting scaring people but the best
part was hearing that they were happy that they came. It was also
nice to hear them make comments that we were better than other
larger scale haunts in the area.
Although we have decided to go out on our own (instead of doing the fundraiser) we have not gotten away from the idea of giving back to the community that we open our haunted house in. This year you will find that our volunteers are from many different areas. Some are from the local school systems, police organizations, hospitals, and many other areas of the Muskegon community. We are giving back to Muskegon area in way of donations for those who volunteer as actors for whatever non-profit organization or charity they are supporting.
This started out as a fun haunt in our basement for our daughter’s birthday parties and after some years of experience, and research has exploded into this large scale haunted attraction.
We hope you will enjoy your visit and we look forward to scaring you this October and many other Octobers to come.
